Definition

List refers to collection of data items of similar type arranged in a sequence. For example: List of names, list of marks, list of addresses, list of employees and so on. Lists are  once created and then can be modified during their lifetime. We need to add a new element, search for a given element, delete an existing element from the list etc. In addition, we can combine two or more lists to create a single list or split a list into two or more lists.
